POSITION OVERVIEW

Aspirus At Home is growing and adding to their Therapy Team! Join us as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant and provide compassionate home health care to patients in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. While specific tasks may vary, general responsibilities include:

Performs procedures and treatments under the direction of an occupational therapist.

Develops goals and respective treatment plans in coordination with the occupational therapist.

Demonstrates an understanding of the needs of specific age groups in terms of their physical and motor development, psychosocial development and intellectual/language development, e. g., FIMS, NDT training, whenever applicable.

Recommends necessary follow up care, including appropriate equipment or modifications, to occupational therapist, and instructs patient and/or family in home program.

Provides adequate documentation for purposes of justifying reimbursement to third party payers, establishing baseline data and subsequent progress, and recording of treatment.

Attends committees, assignments, in services and special projects as assigned and appropriate.

Works in more than one patient care area: inpatient, outpatient, rehab unit, skilled nursing facilities, home health, and contract services.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

Previous experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant beneficial but not required.

Current Michigan licensure to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant required.

Current CPR certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Possesses and maintains a valid Michigan Driver's License required.

Possesses automobile liability insurance with $100,000/$300,000 coverage required, or $300,000 combined single-limit liability.

EDUCATION

Candidates should possess one or more of the following:

Knowledge of occupational therapy standards and practices normally acquired through graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
